Abstract:
To enable one wrench for a union screw and the other wrench for a union nut to be used also while they are held.SOLUTION: A union joint Jb includes a union screw Ja to which one pipe P1 is connected, a union collar Jb to which another pipe P2 is connected, and a union nut Jc for connecting them. The union joint is used in fastening the union nut Jc to the union screw Ja by engaging one wrench W with the union screw Ja and engaging another wrench W with the union nut Jc using the two wrenches W. The union joint includes a gripping rod 20 attached along the gripping part Wa of the one wrench W and holdable together with the gripping part Wa, a head 22 having an engagement recessed part 21 engageable with the union collar Jb, and a connection rod 23 for connecting the head 22 to the gripping rod 20 by lifting the head 22 by a prescribed height X of a value larger than an axial height H of the union nut Jc relative to the gripping rod 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
