Abstract:
To provide control to alleviate an impact force received by a component in a dump cylinder of an industrial machine by monitoring a position of a piston in a dump cylinder.SOLUTION: A position of a piston is determined by using a sensor in a dump cylinder. The sensor generates an output signal, and provides the output signal to a controller. The controller is configured so as to restrict movement of the dump cylinder during dump operation based on the output signal from the sensor, and to reduce wear of the dump cylinder (for example, by preventing damage generated when the dump cylinder is quickly expanded or retreated, and the inside cylinder component is brought into strong contact with a rod or a cap end).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
