Abstract:
To further improve the output characteristics of a positive electrode active material composed of a NMC ternary lithium nickel manganese cobalt-containing composite oxide with a hollow structure.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery includes a dry mixing step of mixing a tungsten compound with a hollow structure lithium NMC-containing composite oxide as a base material to obtain a mixture, a water spray mixing step, and a drying step, and in the water spray mixing step, water spraying is performed at a water spray rate in the range of 50 ml/min to 100 ml/min while stirring at a peripheral speed of 5 m/sec to 10 m/sec using a vacuum drying mixer, and then mixing is continued for a time in the range of 20 to 120 minutes with stirring, and the mixture is allowed to stand for a time in the range of 30 to 180 minutes, and in the drying step, in a vacuum atmosphere, the mixture is dried under reduced pressure at a temperature in the range of 100°C to 200°C for a time in the range of 60 minutes to 180 minutes without stirring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
