Abstract:

To remove powder mixed in a nozzle even when a flushing operation is performed, in a manufacturing apparatus for a three-dimensional molded article that manufactures a three-dimensional molded article by discharging liquid into a powder layer through the nozzle.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus 1 for a three-dimensional molded article comprises: a molding table 9; layer forming sections 2 and 6 that form a powder layer 500 on a molding table 9; a head 3 that discharges liquid containing a binder from a nozzle onto a molding area P of the three-dimensional molded article in the powder layer 500; and a control unit 12 that controls the movement of the head 3 with respect to the molding table 9 and the drive of the head 3 by applying a voltage. The control unit 12 executes a flushing operation to discharge the liquid from the nozzle at a flushing position, which is a different position from the molding area P, after discharging the liquid into the molding area P, and performs control so that a voltage applied during the flushing operation is higher than a voltage applied during the discharge of the liquid into the molding area P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
