Abstract:
To provide a cylindrical object for protecting a seedling capable of preventing breakage of a seedling which is mainly caused by feeding damage by herbivorous animals, achieving an environment suitable for rearing of a seedling even in a covered state, and serving as a covering object for covering the seedling with practical use property and good work property having durability, and a protection and rearing method of a seedling using the cylindrical object for protecting.SOLUTION: A cylindrical object 2 for protecting a seedling is formed of a fabric of fibers or nonwoven fabric comprising air permeability and light permeability of 30% or greater, is formed into a circular truncated cone-shape or columnar shape in which a seedling can be easily stored, and has a height of 50 to 200 cm, and inside of the cylindrical object for protecting a seeding cannot be easily viewed. A range from a base part of the cylinder to a tip end on the cylindrical object for protecting is fixed to a pole 1.
