Abstract:
To provide a descaling device and a descaling method capable of suppressing the entanglement of a wire regardless of a winding direction of the wire.SOLUTION: A descaling device 1 is equipped with a payoff stand 2, and a descaling portion 3 that makes a wire W paid off from the payoff stand 2 travel along a reference line X. The descaling portion 3 has: a first unit 20 that presses a plurality of first rollers 21 to 24 aligned along the reference line X on a first plane P1 against the wire W to meander the wire W on the first plane P1; and a second unit 30 that a plurality of second rollers 31 to 34 aligned along the reference line X on a second plane P2 against the wire W to meander the wire W on the second plane P2. The first roller 24 disposed on the most downstream side among the first rollers and the second roller 31 disposed on the most upstream side among the second rollers may be invalidated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
