Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a molded article which has an erected portion having high strength.SOLUTION: A material contains a layer 1, in which reinforcing fibers (A1) and a thermoplastic resin fibers (B1) are dispersed at random, and a combined filament yarn 2, composed of continuous reinforcing fibers (A2) and thermoplastic resin fibers (B2), and the combined filament yarn is arranged on the layer, and the combined filament yarn is kept its shape by thermoplastic resin fibers (B3). By heating the material from the layer side at a temperature equal to or lower than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin fibers (B3), and heating the material from the side, where the combined filament yarn has been kept its shape, at a temperature higher than a melting point of a thermoplastic resin (b3) composing the thermoplastic resin fibers (B3), more than 99 mass% of the thermoplastic resin fibers (B1), more than 99 mass% of the thermoplastic resin fibers (B2), more than 50 mass% and equal to or less than 90 mass% of a portion of the thermoplastic resin fibers (B3) exposed to the side where the combined filament yarn is arranged, and more than 1 mass% and equal to or less than 50 mass% of the exposed portion of the thermoplastic resin fibers (B3) are melted to mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
