To make it easier to recognize the outer edge of a switch button and improve the operability when a pressing surface is pushed in.SOLUTION: The switch device S5 includes a push-type switch button 2 and a convex cover member 3 arranged outside the switch button 2. The cover member 3 is provided integrally with vertical walls 31b and 32b and vertical walls 31b and 32b that protrude in the pressing direction of the switch button 2 and surround the side surfaces 21b and 22b of the switch button 2, and has pressing surfaces 31a and 32a that cover the top surfaces 21a and 22a of the switch button 2. The thicknesses Tb and Tb'of the vertical walls 31b and 32b in the direction orthogonal to the pressing direction are thicker than the thicknesses Ta and Ta' of the pressing surfaces 31a and 32a in the pressing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
