Abstract:
To provide hepatoprotectant acetaminophen mutual prodrugs.SOLUTION: Hepatoprotectant acetaminophen mutual prodrugs with an acetaminophen part covalently bonded to a second part capable of acting as a hepatoprotectant against acetaminophen hepatotoxicity are provided. Furthermore, acetaminophen mutual prodrugs can be made to have improved water solubility with the possibility of imparting excellent suitability for parenteral or other dosage forms compared to administration of acetaminophen. In addition, a method of treating disorders or conditions (fever, pain, ischemic damage, etc.) that are responsive to acetaminophen with acetaminophen mutual prodrugs, a kit, and a unit dose are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
