Abstract:
To realize real-time processing required for broadcasting and other transmission even when a large-capacity flash memory is used to store video data.SOLUTION: A video server according to an embodiment includes a flash memory that stores video data encoded by an MPEG system with a GOP structure, a buffer memory that temporarily stores write data of the flash memory and read data from the flash memory, and a memory controller that controls write/read processing of the buffer memory and the flash memory. The memory controller sets the write/read processing between the buffer memory and the flash memory as an MPEG GOP unit, and performs read retry processing during a blank frame period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
