Abstract:
To restrict locking not required for rotation of a spool.SOLUTION: A webbing winding device 10 includes: a spool 14; a V gear 26; a holder gear 30; a W pawl 28; pawls (a first pawl 32 and a second pawl 34); and an actuator 38. When the pawls are alienated from the V gear 26, rotation in a drawing direction of the V gear 26 is permitted, whereas rotation in the drawing direction of the V gear 26 is locked when the pawls are engaged with the V gear 26. When the pawls are alienated from a holder gear 30, rotation in a drawing direction of the holder gear 30 is permitted, whereas rotation in the drawing direction of the holder gear 30 is locked when the pawls are engaged with the holder gear 30. Further, the actuator 38 displaces the pawls to following respective states: a state in which the pawls are alienated from the V gear 26 and engaged with the holder gear 30; a state in which the pawls are engaged with the V gear 26; and a state in which the pawls are alienated from the V gear 26 and alienated from the holder gear 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
