Abstract:
To achieve both image quality and delay time reduction in an image display involving data transmission by communication.SOLUTION: In a compression encoding unit 422 of a server 400, a gaze point acquisition unit 470 acquires position information on a user's gaze point for a moving image generated by an image generation unit 420 and displayed at a client. An attention level estimation unit 472 estimates an attention level for each unit region formed by dividing a frame plane based on the position of the gaze point. A compression encoding processing unit 474 compresses and encodes the moving image by making a compression rate different on the frame plane based on distribution of the attention level. A communication unit 426 transmits the compressed and encoded data to an image processing device 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 36
