Abstract:
To provide an opening and closing device capable of preventing left and right ends of a shutter curtain from falling off a guide rail when a force is applied to a back of the shutter curtain and the shutter curtain is bent forward.SOLUTION: An opening and closing device according to the present invention comprises; an opening and closing body (shutter curtain) which opens and closes an opening; guide means (guide rail 5), located at both end sides in a left-right width direction of the opening, which guides the opening and closing body so that it can move in an open-close direction while holding both ends in the width direction of the opening and closing body; and a lower frame 6 which is placed at a lower side of the opening. The opening and closing device also comprises a lower-frame-side engaging part 8X which is provided at the lower frame 6, and opening-and-closing-body-side engaging means 11X which is provided at at least a part of a whole area in the left-right width direction of a lower end 7 of the opening and closing body in such a manner that it can engage with the lower-frame-side engaging part 8X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
