Abstract:
To provide a projector that has reduced color unevenness in an image.SOLUTION: A projector of the present application comprises: an illuminating device; a light modulator; and a projection optical device. The illuminating device has a first light source device that emits first light in a first wavelength range, and a second light source device that emits second light in a second wavelength range. The light modulator has a first light modulation element that modulates the first light, and a second light modulation element that modulates light in at least partial wavelength range of the light in the second wavelength range. The first light source device has a first light emitting element that emits excitation light having an excitation wavelength range, and a wavelength conversion element that converts the excitation light into the first light in terms of wavelength. The second light source device has a second light emitting element that emits the second light, a diffusion element that diffuses the second light; and an optical element having an aspherical surface that is provided on a light path of the second light between the diffusion element and the second light modulation element, guides the second light to the second light modulation element, and increases the field curvature in the second light modulation element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
