Abstract:
To enhance acoustic insulation effect of a resin intake manifold mounted with an acoustic insulation material while trimming weight thereof.SOLUTION: A plurality of branch pipes 12 is extended from a surge tank 11 in an upward direction part of the way and then, reversely, in a downward direction to a flange section 13 in a manner that encircles lateral and lower sides of the surge tank 11. An acoustic insulation material 14 is installed in a space surrounded with the surge tank 11 and the plurality of branch pipes 12. The acoustic insulation material 14 covers a central region 11c in a cylinder array direction of the surge tank 11 excluding both edge sections thereof and has a concave section 20 which forms a space section S1 in the central region 11c. A section of the acoustic insulation material outside the concave section 20 is brought into contact with the surge tank 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
