Abstract:
To provide a pilling testing machine that can generate pilling in a short time and is capable of easily evaluating the pilling performance of fabric in spite of its compact configuration.SOLUTION: A pilling testing machine 11 comprises a rotary table 22 provided with a frictional plate 23 on the surface, a table rotation shaft 21 coupled to the rotary table, a sample holder 25 for holding test fabric 26 in a state of being capable of sliding in contact with the frictional plate, a holder rotation shaft 28 coupled to the sample holder, a bearing member 29 for rotatably supporting the holder rotation shaft at a position where the shaft lines of the table rotation shaft and the holder rotation shaft are deviated so as to be parallel to each other, a continuous driving mechanism 13 that revives a force from a motor to continuously rotates the table rotation shaft, and an intermittent driving mechanism (Geneva mechanism) 15 that intermittently rotates the holder rotation shaft in accordance with the continuous rotation of the table rotation shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
