Abstract:
To provide a structure that can be used as a position control mechanism making good use of reversible folding properties of a folding paper structure.SOLUTION: A specific folding structure is introduced for both end parts of a specific Miura-folding origami structure 5 to provide a structure which can be fixed on a wall surface even when the Miura-folding origami structure is folded up, and a mechanism is obtained which controls a distance between surfaces by folding deformation of the folded structure by coupling together one pair of two opposite surfaces. Further, this structure is connected in a cylindrical shape to constitute a cylindrical folded structure, which is further stacked to provide position control capable of increasing and transmitting displacement in a spread surface direction by folding of the origami structure in its vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
