Abstract:
To make it easy to check a character image included in an image in preview display.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a rectangular display that has long sides and short sides; rotating means that rotates the display between a first direction in which the short side becomes the upside and a second direction in which the long side becomes the upside; and rotation control means that controls the rotating means. While the image is displayed on the display as a preview, when the feature quantity of a character image included in an image satisfies a predetermined condition and there is a certain relative relationship between the direction of the display and the direction of the image, the rotation control means controls the rotating means such that the direction of the display becomes one of the first direction and the second direction based on the relative relationship.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
