Abstract:
To provide a towel cloth which has a bulky and fluffy feeling, is less likely to cause shag-loss, and is excellent in water absorption, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: In a towel cloth obtained by locking pile yarns 1a and 1b by a ground texture in which warp ground yarns 2a and 2b and a weft yarn 3 cross each other, at least one of the warp ground yarns 2a and 2b, the weft yarn 3, and the pile yarns 1a and 1b is formed of a fine-spun folded yarn. The fine-spun folded yarn obtained by twisting two or more roving yarns together in the direction of a first twist into a single yarn, in which one of roving yarns has a uniform twist and at least one of the other roving yarns partly has an irregular strand length and a real twist irregular in the twist angle, is open and expanded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
