Abstract:
To provide a mesophase pitch-containing fiber having high tensile strength and excellent post-processability.SOLUTION: There is provided a mesophase pitch-containing fiber composed of a thermoplastic resin and a mesophase pitch dispersed in the form of fiber in the thermoplastic resin, in which an average fiber diameter of the mesophase pitch-containing fiber is 10 to 200 μm, a tensile modulus of the mesophase pitch-containing fiber is 500 MPa or more, and an average fiber length of the mesophase pitch dispersed in the form of fiber in the thermoplastic resin is 1 to 100 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
