Abstract:
To provide a rotary device which has a structure in which a refrigerant etc. does not leak to an interior, sufficiently cools a rotating body to attain high reliability, and can achieve low costs, and to provide a vacuum pump.SOLUTION: A rotary device includes: a casing 11; and a rotating body 18 having a rotary shaft 20 which is disposed in such a way so as to be rotatable relative to the casing 11, the rotating body 18 integrally formed with the rotary shaft 20. The rotary device includes: a hollow part 20b formed along a rotation center axis in the rotating body 18; and a cooling rod 43 which is fixed to the casing 11, is provided in the hollow part 20b while making no contact with the rotating body 18 without having a mechanism for jetting a refrigerant, and absorbs radiation heat of the rotating body 18 to cool the rotating body 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
