Abstract:
To provide a light source device that can generate light whose color gamut is improved.SOLUTION: A light source device includes a first light source 1 emitting first light, a wavelength conversion element 8 including a first region 10 where a wavelength conversion body 12 that converts the first light into second light with a wavelength range different from that of the first light is provided on a first surface of a substrate 9 and a second region 11 where the wavelength conversion body is not provided, and optical path synthesis means 6 that is disposed between the first light source and the wavelength conversion element and synthesizes the optical path of the second light and the optical path of the first light passing the second region. On a second surface opposite to the first surface of the substrate, an unnecessary light reducing structure 13 for reducing the first light that reaches the second surface from the optical path synthesis means, is reflected on the second surface, and returns to the optical path synthesis means is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
