Abstract:
To perform various operations from a remote place by using operating robots in a severe environment that it is hard for persons to enter, and to enable a plurality of operating robots to enter from a narrow part to attain access over a wide range and perform the various operations.SOLUTION: A remote operation device comprises an operating robot which comprises at least one operation tool, and an insertion device which has the operating robot connected detachably atop, and inserts the operating robot inside from a narrow through part of a structure, occupation area of the narrow through part of the structure being smaller than the operating robot. At the insertion position, the operating robot is inserted from the outside to the inside through the narrow through part of the structure, and a predetermined operation is performed inside the structure with the operating robot operated from a remote place outside the structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4(a)
