Abstract:
To provide a single wheel independent steering device having high practicability.SOLUTION: A steering device 34 includes an electric motor 36a, an operation conversion mechanism 44 for converting operation of the electric motor into steering operation of a wheel 12, and a controller for achieving steering of the wheel according to the operation position of the electric motor by controlling supply current to the electric motor, and steers one wheel among a plurality of wheels provided on the wheel independently from other wheel, and performs both (a) first reference setting processing based on the steering position of the wheel acquired depending on data of the image of the wheel photographed by a camera, and (b) second reference setting processing based on supplied current to the electric motor when the wheel is maintained to a specific or arbitrary steering position during traveling of the wheel, as reference setting processing of setting a reference operation position as a reference of the operation position of the electric motor. Accurate setting of the reference operation position of the electric motor is quickly and sufficiently enabled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
