Abstract:
To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of reducing deterioration in sensitivity due to the mounting of an acoustic coupler onto an ultrasonic probe.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an acquisition unit and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires acoustic coupler information indicating a mounting state of the acoustic coupler onto an ultrasonic transmission/reception surface in an ultrasonic probe having the ultrasonic transmission/reception surface for transmitting an ultrasonic wave to a subject and receiving a reflection wave of the ultrasonic wave reflected by the subject. The control unit controls a transmission voltage applied to the ultrasonic probe for causing the ultrasonic probe to output the ultrasonic wave on the basis of the acoustic coupler information acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
