Abstract:
To reduce a user's labor when a paper size is set.SOLUTION: A standard-size paper width is pre-stored in a Flash ROM 123. A uniquely-sized paper width can also be stored in the Flash ROM 123 by being registered by a user. The paper width is measured by an optical sensor 155 during paper feeding, and the measured width is compared with the paper width stored in the Flash ROM 123.
