Abstract:
To provide a catheter shaft excellent in mechanical properties, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A catheter shaft is composed of a tube-shaped molding containing a thermoplastic resin and plate-like alumina particles, in which the plate-like alumina particles have an aspect ratio represented by the following expression of 5-500. A method for manufacturing the catheter shaft includes extruding and molding a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and the plate-like alumina particles into a tube shape.
