Abstract:
To inhibit backlash between shafts without causing increase of the number of components.SOLUTION: An inner shaft 19 and an outer shaft 17 of a steering shaft 5 are coupled by spline fitting in a manner that these shafts can move relative to each other in an axial direction and cannot rotate around axes. The inner shaft 19 includes a cut and risen piece 21 formed by cutting and rising a part of an outer periphery part to the radial outer side. The cut and risen piece 21 press an inner surface of the outer shaft 17 to inhibit backlash between the inner shaft 19 and the outer shaft 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
