Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced plastic molded product, which can obtain a good design appearance and can be made lightweight and thin, by: improving a smoothness of a surface of the fiber reinforced plastic molded product to make it a mirror surface; and making a texture pattern of a woven fabric, which is a fiber reinforced sheet, stand out clearly.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a fiber reinforced plastic molded product 1 includes the steps of: arranging, in a molding die, a fiber-reinforced plastic precursor composed of a matrix resin 3 and unidirectional continuous fibers or fiber woven fabric, and then pressurizing or heating the inside of the molding die to harden, melt, or soften the matrix resin 3, thereby obtaining a fiber-reinforced plastic main body 2; taking out the fiber-reinforced plastic main body 2 from the molding die and thereafter subjecting a surface of the fiber-reinforced plastic main body 2 to coating or painting, to form a surface resin layer 4; and polishing a surface of the surface resin layer 4 to an arithmetic average roughness Ra in a range of 0.001 to 0.6 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
