Abstract:
To provide a sliding component capable of realizing both improvement in abrasion resistance and strong bonding of a nitriding steel material and a lead-bronze alloy liner.SOLUTION: A sliding component in which a nitriding steel material composed of aluminum-containing nitriding steel and a lead-bronze alloy liner are diffusion-bonded, comprises a nitrogen diffusion layer provided on at least a part of the surface region of the nitriding steel material, and an iron nitride layer provided on the surface of the nitrogen diffusion layer. The surface region of the nitriding steel material on a joint surface side with the lead-bronze alloy liner is an immersion quenching region containing aluminum nitride, where at least a part of the lead-bronze alloy liner is used as a first sliding surface, and at least a part of the iron nitride layer is used as a second sliding surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
