Abstract:
To prevent working fluid for a chain tensioner from leaking from an interval between a stepped hole accommodating a relief valve and a male screw member.SOLUTION: A chain tensioner includes: an inner elastic body 48 for hermetically sealing an interval between a stepped hole 34 for a cylinder 9 and a valve seat 39 for a relief valve 33; and an outer elastic body 49 for hermetically sealing an interval between a male screw member 44 fixing the relief valve 33 and the cylinder 9 in a position nearer to the outside of the cylinder 9 in a screw axial line direction than a male screw part 45 of the male screw member 44 and a female screw part 42 for the stepped hole 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
