To provide a new and useful cash register and transaction management system that can easily and simply cash privilege and charge with cash.SOLUTION: In a transaction management system in which a transaction management server 10 of a product service provider and a cash register 100 are communicatively connected to each other via a communication line 18, the cash register 100 is communicatively connected to a privilege information management server 12 of a privilege issuer, and the cash register 100 stores an exchange rate at which privilege can be exchanged for currency, exchanges the privilege for the currency, and performs information processing with each of the transaction management server 10 and the privilege information management server 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
