Abstract:
To provide a valve-regulated lead-acid battery in which accumulation of lead sulfate in a negative electrode plate is suppressed, a manufacturing method thereof, and a power storage system including the valve-regulated lead-acid battery.SOLUTION: A valve-regulated lead-acid battery includes at least one cell including a positive plate 3, a negative plate 2, and an electrolyte, the positive plate includes a positive electrode material, and the negative plate includes a negative electrode material. The negative electrode material includes a carbonaceous material, and the specific surface area: Sc of the carbonaceous material according to the BET method satisfies Sc≥650 m2/g, and the content: Cc of the carbonaceous material in the negative electrode material satisfies Cc≥0.5 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
