Abstract:
To provide a drive transmission mechanism that has a first drive source and a second drive source that drive different output units, and allows the second drive source to switch between transmission and cut-off of a driving force of the first drive source.SOLUTION: A drive transmission mechanism provided in an image forming apparatus has a first drive source 21 that drives a first output unit and a second output unit, a second drive source 41 that can generate a first turning force in a first rotation direction and a second turning force in a second rotation direction to drive a third output unit, a clutch 31 that can switch between a transmission state and a cut-off state, and a switching mechanism that switches between the transmission state and the cut-off state of the clutch 31. (i) When receiving the first turning force from the second drive source 41, the switching mechanism switches the clutch 31 from the cut-off state to the transmission state and enters a first state for permitting transmission of the first turning force to the third output unit, and (ii) when receiving the second turning force from the second drive source 41, switches the clutch 31 from the transmission state to the cut-off state and enters a second state for permitting transmission of the second turning force to the third output unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
