Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make operation easy by detecting an area in which the least num ber of windows are displayed in an area made by dividing a displayed picture, and generating a new window in the area. CONSTITUTION:Status information that shows the state of display window displayed by a display picture at present is stored by a storing means 1. A detecting means 2 detects an area that satisfies specific conditions in an area made by dividing the displayed picture from status information stored in the storing means 1. A window forming means 3 generates a new window in an area indicated by the result of detection. Thereby, a multiwindow forming device excellent in ease of operation that is not hidden below for smaller window can be formed.
