Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain proper white balance adjustment at all times independently of the state of an object by selecting one of information data representing different white balance correction range in matching with the state at photographing and applying optimum white balance adjustment based on the information data. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 10 has a ROM in which plural tables storing different white balance correction ranges are provided. A digital output signal from the microcomputer 10 is given to D/A converters 11a, 11b, where a gain control signal comprising an analog signal is converted to control the gain of an R amplifier 2 and a B amplifier 3. The initial value of the gain control signal is selected to be a predetermined value and given to the RAMP 2, BAMP 3. Then a reference voltage is read and an integration output from integration circuits 7, 8 is inputted and it is used as an integration value to discriminate the quantity of the integration between a reference voltage and a color difference signal and a switch 12 revising the table in use is turned on or off from the result thereby applying the optimum white balance adjustment at all times.
