Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease possibility of corrosion defect appeared in welded materials in particular, against nitric acid corrosion under intensive gamma irradiation, by forming a layer of a specific metal or its oxide on a surface of austenite steel welding in equipment of nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. CONSTITUTION:A layer of at least one of the metal group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta or one of its oxides is formed on a surface of austenite steel welding in the equipment of a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. The layer enhances anticorrosiveness against nitric acid under intensive gamma irradiation, decreases possibility of corrosion defect of welded materials and increases their reliability and their lives as well.
