Abstract:
PURPOSE:To raise the reliability of an ink jet printer at the time of driving the recovery system to suck up air bubbles in an orifice to restore them to the original state by a simplified constitution in which a cap means and a negative pressure generator are operated according to the rotation of the first and second cam parts fixed to a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:The output of a drive motor M3 is transmitted to a gear 107a and a rotary shaft 107b fixed to the gear 107a is fixed with the first cam 108a and the second cam 108b in mutually adjacent state in such a way as to enable them to turn integrally. The rotary shaft 107b is rotatably attached with a U-shaped cap lock lever 104 in a state of crossing the cam 108b. In the early period position PI, for the first and second cams 108a and 108b the cam face at the shortest distance from the rotation centers are in contact with the head of a piston 114 and also with the side of a dust cover 110. In the period PI, no negative pressure is generated in the negative pressure generating mechanism. Also, the cap 104 is held in a condition that the orifice of an ink jet head body 21 is not closed.
