Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a stable white balance adjustment without operating a detail condition setting corresponding to various conditions by using a fuzzy inference for the decision of the gain of each color signal. CONSTITUTION:The gain of each color signal is controlled based on the central value of the color information signal of an entire screen, based on the color information signal in a picked up video signal. The fuzzy inference is used for the decision of the gain of each color signal by gain control circuits 43 and 44. To put it concretely, a phase difference between a constant color temperature changing axis and the color information signal, and the high-pass component level of a luminance signal in the video signal are defined as an input variable, and the time constant of a gain control is defined as a conclusion part, in order to operate the fuzzy inference. A phase difference theta and a contrast evaluation value (yh) are inputted to a time constant calculating circuit 21, and the changing ration of the gain at R and B amplifier circuits 4 and 5, that is, the time constant of the gain control is decided by the fuzzy inference.
