Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the simple method for treating waste gases which can effectively remove the mercury in the waste gases 2 from a waste melting furnace 1 remaining without being removed by the conventional waste gas treating device 3 alone but does not cause secondary pollution. CONSTITUTION:The waste gases 2 from a gas treating device 3 are supplied to an active carbon adsorbing device 4 where the residual mercury in the waste gases is removed. The active carbon in which the residual mercury is adsorbed is charged into the above-mentioned waste melting furnace and is used as the fuel for melting.
