Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to simply and surely insert sealant in a space between adjacent revetment blocks when revetment work is carried out in a place having a deep water like the ocean and severe wave conditions. CONSTITUTION: Sealant 1 between revetment blocks is constituted of a vertical member 2 of I-shape steel and a pair of longitudinally long elastic hollow bodies 9 mounted respectively to both surfaces of web section 3 of the vertical member 2. One side sections of both elastic hollow bodies 9 are used for binding sections to side walls K2 opposed to adjacent revetment blocks K respectively. One flange 4a of the vertical member 2 is used as a holder section for wave pressure, and the other flange 4b is used as a holder section for earth pressure of earth and sand for reclamation. An execution method for the sealant 1 between the revetment blocks is such that both elastic hollow bodies 9 are filled with air to swell after the sealant 1 in a flat state caused by making vacuum the insides of a pair of elastic hollow bodies 9 is inserted in a space between the adjacent revetment blocks K.
