Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove BOD, a nitrogen compound and a phosphorus compound by dividing a reactor having activated sludge received therein into four tanks, that is, the first anaerobic tank, the first aerobic tank, the second anaerobic tank and the second aerobic tank from the waste water inlet part and treating waste water under a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:The ORP of the first anaerobic tank 1 is detected by an ORP sensor 3 and, when ORP exceeds -270mV, a pump 5 supplying the waste water flooding from a sedimentation basin higher than primary treated waste water in the concn. of suspended matter is operated by an ORP control apparatus 4. The pump 5 is stopped when ORP reaches -270mV or less to hold the ORP of the first anaerobic tank 1 to -270mV or less. As a result, the excessive intake of the phosphorus compound of activated sludge in the aerobic environment of the first aerobic tank is enhanced and the concn. of the phosphorus compound in final treated water can be reduced.
