Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance without impairing freeness or wire marking properties by arranging weft yarns in the two upper and lower layers, using polyamide yarns and polyester yarns in the weft yarns in the lower layer and weaving both yarns in respective specific states. CONSTITUTION:Weft yarns in a number of nX2 (n is an integer of >=7) are respectively arranged in the two upper and lower layers and polyamide and polyester yarns are arranged in the weft yarns in the lower layer. In a complete design figure, marks O indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the running surface and marks X indicate positions where the warp yarns interweave the weft yarns on the paper making surface. The polyamide weft yarn 4' in the lower layer is interwoven with the warp yarns 6 and 8 to form knucles and the polyester weft yarn 3' in the lower layer is interwoven with warp yarns 3 and 11. Thereby, interweaving is carried out in two places with the warp yarns 3 sandwiched between warp yarns 2 and 4 for interweaving the polyamide weft yarn 8' in the lower layer and the warp yarn 11 sandwiched between the warp yarns 10 and 12 interweaving the polyamide weft yarn 16' in the lower layer.
