Abstract:
The charge control circuit for a cordless telephone system including a base unit (7) and a handset comprises a connection detector (5) for detecting a connection for the handset to the base unit (7), a full-charged condition detector (4) for detecting a full-charged condition of a battery contained in the handset, a timer (6) for establishing a predetermined time period after the full-charged condition detection, and a controller for controlling a charge operation for the battery, wherein the battery is charged with a quick charge mode (1) after the predetermined time period elapses and the battery is charged with a trickling charge mode (2) or with a charge inhibition mode during the predetermined time period.
