Abstract:
PURPOSE: To newly package an emulator with an extended device so as to save time and labor to execute emulation and improve the efficiency of system development by diverting the emulator of an OS on system firmware. CONSTITUTION: When the emulator 401 is loaded on a memory 2, a BIOS code loading means 504 loads the BIOS code of an extended ROM 60 mounted in the extended device 6 to an extended ROM developing area 202 on the memory 2 while converting it into the machine language code of architecture capable of being packaged by a CPU by means of the emulator 401. In the case where the conversion and the loading of the BIOS code succeed, the BIOS code of the extended ROM 60 is turned into an executable code in an information processor, and the initialization and the start of the extended device 6 are executed by a BIOS code executing means 505 in the system firmware 50. Thus, the drive of the extended device 6 becomes possible in the system firmware 50.
