Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the error in the measurement of an osteosalt quantity by the influence of scattered X-rays, etc., by photographing the desired part to be inspected of the osteotissue and the part exclusive of the osteosalt reference in a shielded state. CONSTITUTION:Accumulative phosphor sheets A, B are irradiated with the X-rays 2 transmitted through the same subject 1 having the osteotissue and bones at respectively changed energies. The osteosalt reference (phantom) 5 of the known X-ray absorption quantity consisting of the pattern varying stepwise in the X-ray absorption quantity is placed together with the subject 1 on the accumulative phosphor sheets A, B, and the X-ray image of this phantom 5 is also accumulated and recorded together with the X-ray image of the subject 1 on the accumulative phosphor sheets A, B. A lead plate 6 provided with a window 6a for irradiating the part to be inspected of the osteotissue of a human body with the X-rays and a window 6b for irradiating the osteosalt reference with the X-rays is disposed to shield the human body exclusive of the part to be inspected and the osteosalt reference so as to prevent the irradiation thereof with the X-rays.
