Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the size of a bump constant and to prevent the bending of a lead by using a top force or a bottom force wherein a plurality of recess parts corresponding to the shapes of bumps are provided at positions where the bumps of a metal lead are to be formed, and forming the bumps. CONSTITUTION:A metal lead 2 is set between a metal mold 1 having a recess part corresponding to a position where the pump of the metal lead 2 is to be formed and a metal mold 3 having the flat surface facing the metal mold 1. The metal plate 2 is pressed and plastically deformed. A bump 4 is formed with the recess part of the metal mold 1. Thus, the size of the bump 4 can be made constant. Since the tip of the metal lead 2 is not pushed, the metal lead 2 is not bent, and the pump 4 having the excellent quality can be machined in one step.
