Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain sufficiently high-strength concrete even by reducing an amount of expensively ultrafine silica used by blending specific two kinds of silica fine particles having different particle sizes to have two particle size distributions. CONSTITUTION:A silica-containing substance such as coal ash produced at thermal powder station of coal, silica sand or silas is mechanically ground by wet type stirring mill to give ground fine particles (1-5mum average particle diameter) silica-containing material. The ground fine particles are mixed with ultrafine silica (0.05-0.5mum average particle diameter) prepared by high- temperature vaporization method or hydrolysis method to give a blend having two particle size distributions, which is mixed with water and an admixture and made into a slurried state to give an admixture material for concrete.
