Abstract:
2.1. Cigarette packs (20) are often equipped with a (revenue) band (26) which extends over one end face (23) and adjacent pack faces. The attachment of the band (26) is to be integrated in the complex production flow. For this purpose, the band (26) is supplied in front of a mouthpiece orifice (push-in orifice 32) in a transverse plane, in such a way that, when the pack (20) passes through the mouthpiece orifice, the band (26) is folded round the pack (20) in a U-shaped manner. At the same time, the packs (20) are transported in close order, in such a way that the end face (23) of one pack (20) bears against a bottom face (35) of a pack (20) preceding it. The band (26) is therefore "clamped" between two adjacent packs (20) and thereby additionally fixed.
2.2. The bands (26) are introduced via a band dispenser (84) of fixed location into the continuous conveying flow of the packs (20) and in front of packed tubes (31) for receiving the packs (20) in such a way that the bands (26) are each supplied in front of the push-in orifice (32) of a respective packing tube (31) and as a result of the push of the pack (20) into this are folded in a U-shaped manner.
