Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide optimum transmission control by comparing a shift pattern to an operation parameter for determining a transmission stage, comparing the correction result through fuzzy inference to the operation parameter for determining a transmission stage, and comparing the transmission stages to each other for determining the final transmission stage. CONSTITUTION:An output of an internal combustion engine 10 is transmitted to a transmission device 14 provided with hydraulic clutches C1 to C4 corresponding to respective gear stages. An ECU 50 determines the gear stages and controls solenoid valves 54, 56 based on respective operation parameters of a throttle opening sensor 40 and a vehicle speed sensor 42. The ECU 50, first, compares a specified shift pattern to the operation parameter for determining the transmission stage. Next, at least one of the reference shift pattern and the operation parameter to be compared thereto is corrected based on a specified fuzzy inference result. Subsequently, the corrected result is compared to the operation parameter for determining the transmission stage. The respective transmission stages are compared to each other for determining the final transmission stage.
